The Freestyle Funk Collective (www.freestylefunkcollective.com) are a Hampshire based thirteen piece funk band that have played  regular gigs at Drift, Tiger Tiger and Santa Fe (now Slug and Lettuce). They have also supported Courtney Pine at the Wedgewood Room and have guested at the famous Portsmouth funk night: 'Funktifino'. The band will play with their full line-up, including brass section, percussion and keyboards, giving us an energetic blend of songs from Aretha Franklin and James Brown to the Average White Band and the James Taylor Quartet.

The Superheroes (www.thesuperheroesonline.co.uk) are a much loved local band playing "maximum soul and rock" with songs from The Killers, Stereophonics, Muse, U2 and more.  Whether they're playing at the Hayling Island raft race, or to tens of thousands at the Pompey FA cup winners parade; they treat every gig as if they're headlining Wembley stadium!  Air guitars at the ready, The Superheroes have just beamed down from planet rock!

And if that wasn't enough, bands in the barn proudly presents "the silver shed shakedown" featuring a carefully selected eclectic mix with music from the Moscow Drug Club and the Kalakuta Millionaires.

Following a recent Maida Vale session for Mark Lamarr’s Radio 2 show ‘God’s Jukebox’ plus airings on ‘Craig Charles’ Funk & Soul Show’ on BBC 6 Music, the Kalakuta Millionaires (http://www.myspace.com/kalakutamillionaires) are a Brighton-based Afro-Latin-Funk project taking the UK festival scene by storm with their dirty mix of Fela Kuti-inspired brass lines, Latin percussion section, afro-psych organ and JB-style funk riffs. Fusing tunes from the heart of 70’s Nigeria to the carnivals of Cuba, the back streets of Brazil and beyond, expect blistering brass, stunning harmonies and an explosive rhythm section!
The Moscow Drug Club (http://moscowdrugclub.com)

is a curious musical place where certain elements of 1930’s Berlin Cabaret, Hot Club de France, New Orleans Funeral Parade & Gypsy Campfire meet, have a few to drink and then stagger arm in arm into the darkness of some eastern European cobbled street on a mission to find the bar where Django Reinhardt & Tom Waits are having an after hours jam with the local Tziganes.
Combining their original material with songs by the likes of Jaques Brel, Leornard Cohen, Tom Waits, Mario Lanza & Edith Piaf, Moscow Drug Club provide an intoxicating & intimate musical experience.
